My leadership and management experience is extensive. I have led organizations through transformative periods, built strategic partnerships, and fostered thriving environments. Whether as Executive Director/CEO at Piedmont Business Capital, building community partnerships and managing multi-million-dollar budgets, or as Foundation Executive Director for NC Realtors Housing Opportunity Foundation, raising millions for affordable housing, I have consistently driven impact at scale.

Beyond numbers and strategies, my approach is defined by an unwavering commitment to community and collaboration. My service on the Governor-appointed State Board of Opticians, the Mayor-appointed Minimum Housing Standard Commission, as Vice-Chair of the High Housing Authority Board of Commissioners, and as a Deacon at Providence Baptist Church and Chief Financial Officer has provided a deep understanding of resident needs and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders. My involvement with the 100 Black Men of America, as Triad Chapter President/CEO and a National Board Member, and my former role on the National Campaign Committee for the Civil Rights Museum and Center demonstrate the power of collective action.

I know our city’s future is bright with the investments from Toyota, Boom Supersonic, and Honda Jet. These developments require strategic and collaborative action to create the right infrastructure, workforce, housing, and safety for all residents. My leadership in the private and public sectors has equipped me to build bridges between business, government, and the community. I understand how to negotiate, advocate, and drive policies that meet the challenges of this growth while ensuring no one is left behind. I’m particularly excited by the opportunity to shape our city’s future. As we focus on workforce development, infrastructure, and affordable housing, I bring the experience and strategic vision to create a sustainable environment supporting economic growth for everyone.

My background in financial management demonstrates a proven track record of managing budgets, securing funding, and maximizing impact. I know how to manage multi-million-dollar budgets and ensure fiscal responsibility while meeting mission goals. My experience in government affairs, stakeholder management, and relationship building will strengthen partnerships, which are necessary resources for our city.

Ultimately, I am driven by making a lasting impact—creating systems, structures, and relationships that serve future generations. I believe the City Council has tremendous potential to be at the heart of this transformation, and I am ready to dedicate my leadership, experience, and passion to making that happen.
